A Good Camping List Is Vital To Having Great Camping AdventuresA lot of folks can get away with just throwing a few essentials into the trunk of the car or bed of the pick up and head off for a relaxing week end of camping, and never miss the things they forgot to bring. That's alright for them, but there are those of us who need to have a bit more than a bag, a tent, and a pot. That is why making a good camping list is such an important item to have handy when it comes to organizing our camping gear for our camping excursions. One thing about a camping list is that it is not written in stone. If you don't already have one honed to your specific needs and camping style, start one by writing everything you "think you might need" on a sheet or two of paper. Then go through and scratch out everything you don't "have to have". Now you have a list of the "basics" that you will always need on your trips. Use this as your foundation for making sure you at least don't forget the most important items (like your tent, sleeping bag, or cook stove and fuel). It migt take you a while to get your list just right, and experience will prove that it can still need to be tweaked now and then depending on where you're going, what you'll be doing and what time of year it is. This list will serve as a guide to saving you a whole lot of disappointment, frustration and believe it or not, money (because you won't be needing to purchase items you forgot from local department stores near your destination, which are almost always hours away from the nearest K-mart). Here is a good start on a list of the basicsThis list of "Basics" may seem like a lot of stuff, but it really isn't. Once you get it all put together, and if you pack everything into appropriately sized boxes, bags, or pllastic totes, it will all fit nicely in the trunk of your car with room to spare.
